eShakti Product Review

So glad it is Friday!! Hope you all have a great weekend!

I was contacted a few weeks ago by eShakti about reviewing any product from their website of my choice.  After browsing their website, and seeing that custom sizing was available, I knew I had to see what this company was about.  I chose the Asymmetric Collar Felted Pea Coat, pictured below.

I've recently been in need for a nice looking coat, that didn't look like the standard pea coat, since I have one already.  I decided on the custom sizing, because I wanted the full effect.  Also, I feel like I'm oddly built.  I'm only about 5'1'', and I say about, because I'm not quite there, but tell myself everyday I am.  I am 5'1'' with small shoulders, and big[ger] chest for my frame, at least I feel so, and nothing ever fits me like a glove; the sleeves are either too long, the shoulders are way too big, or it is not big enough through the chest.

Let me just tell you, this jacket fits like a glove.  I was slightly concerned, because I had to have Stephen help me take my measurements, and many times I heard, "Let me try that again."

The inside of the jacket is insulated, and the outside material is a wool and polyester.  The material on the jacket is pretty thin.  It is perfect for moving around and not feeling like you weigh 10 more pounds, but it is definitely not as thick as my pea coats, so warmth may be a factor for this one.

I chose thigh length, but with custom sizing you have the choice of hip length, thigh length, above the knee, and below the knee.

Here are pictures of the coat I received:

This is the collar; definitely my favorite part.  It is so feminine and flattering.

Button detail on the sleeve.

This is up close of the set of 3 buttons on the front, and shows you how they close.  This may just be a personal preference, but for me these buttons are a tad large, but with them being black and the coat being black it is not too noticeable.

As I mentioned above, the material is not very thick.  I have not had a chance to wear it out in the cold to see how it feels.  The material is also a wool and polyester.

Overall I would recommend this jacket to anyone...here is a breakdown of my thoughts:

Pros
Custom sizing available
Feminine cut
Quality of material
Insulated
Flatter cut & stitching...great for any body type

Cons
Material is thinner than most winter coats I own
Big buttons [personal preference though]
