I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Did you notice any drastic difference with my blog? Yep, it is totally plain. I was getting so tired of all the color, and just wanted to be plain Jane for a little bit until I figure out exactly how I want my blog to look. I also feel like it is much easier to read, and less busy, which I'm needing right now.
This weekend was a blast! Beginning on Thursday, I had class in the morning, but afterwards drove home with Stephen and we had an appointment to look at a house in our favorite neighborhood. We absolutely love the house, except for some minor details, but will have to wait a little bit longer before we can commit. We have started this house hunting journey early, because we want to know what is out there, know what area we are drawn to, discover the ins and outs of house hunting, what to look for in a home when you tour, what we like/dislike, etc. The whole process is definitely more stressful than I could have thought. All I think about now are expenses and all the money that will be going out of our paychecks just to run a household. It definitely all adds up to a scary amount, especially on a future policeman's salary. Yikes!
After the house tour, we rode around looking around the area we would love to be in, and ended our night by having Buffalo Wild Wings with my wonderful maid of honor and her boyfriend. On Friday, a couple that Stephen and I are close to drove up to my house, and we all 4 headed to Stephen's lake house for the night. On Saturday we headed down to NC State to cheer on the Wolfpack! It was such an exciting game against Clemson, and somewhat of an unexpected win.
Sunday was a day for pure relaxation. I slept in, ate a late breakfast, stayed in my pajamas all day, and decorated the apartment for Christmas! I also spent time looking at wedding details!! I haven't looked at anything wedding related in quite some time just because of school, but decided it was time to get down to business today. My colors were originally navy with accents of ivory and green, but lately I just haven't felt the love for these colors. I love navy and I always will, but it was like something was missing. Before Stephen and I got engaged I had in mind that I wanted like a blush/pale pink wedding with a romantic, soft, elegant feeling. I realized I just wasn't getting the same feeling from the navy color scheme. I've decided to go back to my original original color scheme and I'm really excited, because I feel like I'm feeling like I should be! Here is some photo inspiration...
Our wedding and reception will be at a vineyard that has a lot of browns and cremes, so I'm thinking that the taupe and blush colors will be the perfect match for the venue.
