Hope everybody had a great weekend! Mine wasn't all that fun, but definitely productive. Saturday, I woke up early and headed to the library. I was there for about 5 hours and completed 3 assignments, all of which were more than 4 pages long. I rewarded myself for actually getting up early and being productive by going to Ulta to pick up a few nail polishes! I was planning on picking up Essie polish, but Ulta was having a buy 1 get 1 free so I picked up two fun fall colors. Got back to my apartment and told myself that before I painted my nails I had to begin assignment #4. I'm still wondering myself where all of this self-discipline as come from, because before Saturday it was lacking. I got around to finishing the assignment and painted my nails.
Sunday, I woke up early [again], headed to the library and stayed for about 4 hours or so. I had a 8-10 page paper due this week and knew that I could not find time to do it Monday and Tuesday with work and internship hours. The hard part about this paper was that I had to read and analyze 8 peer reviewed articles that averaged about 20 pages a piece. I thought I was going crazy!! I left the library a little before 4, because I was just whopped. I had completed 6 out of my 8 articles. I again felt like rewarding myself for being such a great student that I went to Old Navy. I saw where they were having great deals plus 30% off your entire purchase. I have been surprised by the clothing that Old Navy has put out this season! Usually I like a few things, but no more than that. Yesterday I walked into the dressing room with about 7 items, and that was because I was using some sort of shelf-control as I walked through the store. I ended up with 4 tops [post on that soon] and really excited about incorporating them into my wardrobe!
After I left Old Navy I warmed over some leftover for dinner and knew I had to get down to business on the paper. I had two articles left and I had to write the introduction. About 2 hours later I was DONE! I don't think that I will look at it again until another part of the paper is due in two weeks.
Good news on Stephen finding a job!!! Stephen received a letter from a department he applied to and they have scheduled him to complete his fitness test and written test next Monday! So excited!! Also, my mom called yesterday and said that she has connections to the department that we would prefer him to work for [smaller community plus they pay about $7000 more than surrounding departments] so Stephen is calling the liet. today! Hoping something comes out of both or one of these positions!
