Blast in the Past

So the other day I read this article that said "21 Signs You Grew Up In the 90s". No I wasn't born in the 90s but that was my "growing up" age I guess you could say.

Let's see if you relate:

Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
"Where in the World is Matt Lauer" is so much harder to figure out but I loved this show as a kid.. I was always competing to solve the puzzle but I actually learned things in the process. Maybe that is the problem with kids these days. This show looks so retro and corny but hey...I can still find countries on a map. Can't say that for some people!
Oregon Trail
Typhoid, lost children, dead livestock and drowning were all commonplace problems you faced on the Oregon Trail. These boxy graphics were common place in a time when there was no such thing as Microsoft Powerpoint. I would so purchase this updated game now if I had a child (I mean it would be only for my child). It teaches how to survive in the wilderness... not!

How to write in cursive
My new Williams signature is so bad that the bank could easily think I forge checks because it changes everyday. I don't think I could write a single note in cursive now because it has been YEARS. Emily Post is rolling in her grave right now.

Legends of the Hidden Temple
-This poor kid makes me want to cry he is so slow, wonder if he is like an uber millionaire or couch potato?-
Anywho, this show rocked and was about as close to sports as I watched growing up.

The Torkelsons/Almost Home

This was such a girly show (like Boy Meets World) and I tended to watch it alot. That could just be because Disney had it on repeat all the time. I don't remember a story line at all but I do remember Joey Lawrence and Brittany Murphy. Gosh I miss the Disney Channel!

There are tons more that I could share but that may be crossing the line into major flashback category!

Love,
