Holiday Crafts!

Hey y'all! It's Rachel from Just Peachy

First, I would like to thank dWa for asking me to guest post on her blog! Not only is this a great, fun opportunity for me, but it's also my VERY FIRST guest post. Ever!! So I'm really excited!

I decided to write today's post on fun Christmas crafts and recipes that you can turn into gifts.
Last night was my first night home for Christmas Break, so OBVIOUSLY I got started on my baking early. I tried making these Pecan, Caramel, Chocolate clusters (which my family calls Bear Claws) and they turned out great! They would be perfect wrapped up in a cute gift bag or tin for the holidays:

I'm also hoping I'll be able to make a Christmas wreath like these ones:
I just think these are SO adorable, and great gifts for Moms or Grandparents!

Another great gift and easy, easy craft is ornaments. I love collecting ornaments from year to year. These few I've spotted are perfect for the preppy, southern princess. :)
I'm DEFINITELY going to make this last one for some friends. But I'm thinking about adding a painted monogram to the front to match the bow! Perhaps with sparkles. :) Maybe I'll even make one for myself!

For those of you who are extra-crafty and love to paint (this is me.) I saw some frames in an art boutique that were similar to these and I just knew I had to re-create them:
My idea for this would be a white brushed-vintage background with red polka dots or red background with white polka dots. Then a large green bow. A green background with a burlap bow would be SO adorable. I can't wait to make these!

Thanks to Pinterest, I have discovered so many different crafts I can make for gifts instead of going out to buy gifts for people. It's way more fun to put your heart and soul in to creating gifts for people, and the gift receivers always appreciate them more!

Once agan, thank you so much dWa for allowing me guest post!
Happy Holidays! :)
